Honest Work • Fair Prices • No Nonsense

John Kamholz, owner of Sandy River Small Engine Repair

Hi, I'm John.

I'm a truck driver by trade and have been a mechanic for most of my life. I'm fortunate to be home every night, and that's when I get to pursue one of my true passions—working on small engines.

I've always enjoyed working with my hands, solving problems, and bringing equipment back to life. Over the years, I spent a lot of time working on my own equipment, which eventually led me to start repairing small engines, maintaining them, and fixing up equipment to resell.

"I've always believed that if a piece of equipment can be fixed, it deserves the chance to keep working."

"If it's not worth repairing, I'll tell you. Honest advice is just as important as quality repairs."

How Sandy River Small Engine Repair Started

As I continued doing this work, I noticed there was a real need for a dependable small engine repair shop in our area. That's what led me to open Sandy River Small Engine Repair in January 2026.

My goal is simple: to provide honest, reliable, and quality workmanship for people who need help with their small engine equipment. Whether it's a lawn mower, leaf blowers, chainsaw, generator, or other small engine, I take pride in doing the job right and treating every customer with respect.
